Services

What we offer at Emerald Psychiatry

There is rarely a single path to mental wellness. That's why we offer a wide spectrum — medication management, therapy, and advanced treatments for conditions that haven't responded to standard care — coordinated by providers who communicate and collaboarate.

Medication management

Careful evaluation and ongoing monitoring for psychiatric medications that actually fit your life. We don't hand you a prescription after a 15-minute appointment and wish you luck. We stay involved — adjusting, checking in, and making sure the plan continues to work.

Therapy and counseling

Licensed therapists who ask the questions most providers don't have time for. We use evidence-based approaches — CBT, DBT, EMDR, and more — tailored to your needs.

Advanced treatments

TMS and Spravato for depression that hasn't responded to standard care. When first-line treatments fall short, we go further — and our expanded options show patients and the providers who trust us with their referrals that we don't stop at the first answer.

Telehealth

Psychiatric care and therapy from anywhere in Ohio. Covered by most insurance plans the same way in-person visits are.

TREATMENT-RESISTANT DEPRESSION

We don't stop when first-line treatments fail

Roughly one in three people with depression don't respond to standard antidepressants. TMS and Spravato may be the answer

TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation)

Non-invasive. FDA-cleared since 2008. No sedation, no systemic side effects. Targeted magnetic pulses that stimulate the brain regions involved in mood regulation. Many patients see meaningful improvement within weeks.

Spravato (esketamine)

A rapid-acting nasal spray treatment for treatment-resistant depression, administered in our office with professional monitoring. FDA-approved. Works through a completely different mechanism than traditional antidepressants — and can work for patients who've tried everything else.

FAQ

Common questions about getting started with Emerald Psychiatry

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. We accept most major insurance plans and work to make care genuinely accessible. Our team will verify your coverage before your first appointment and explain any out-of-pocket costs upfront — no surprises.

What is telehealth like?

It's a real appointment — not a watered-down version of care. You meet with your actual provider, securely, through a HIPAA-compliant video platform. Same attention, same quality, different setting.

How fast can I get in?

Our goal is to get new patients in as soon as possible. We believe that delaying mental health care is its own form of harm, so we don't treat access as an afterthought. Call us and we'll tell you exactly what's available.

What happens at my first visit?

We listen. Not through a checklist — through a real conversation. You'll meet with a provider who wants to understand your history, your current situation, and what you actually want from care. Then we build a plan together.

Do you treat children?

Yes — from first grade up. Children, adolescents, and adults, all with the same clinical depth. We're one of the few outpatient psychiatric practices in Central Ohio that serves patients across every age group.
