FAQ
Common questions about getting started with Emerald Psychiatry
Most patients — children, adolescents, and adults — are eligible for telehealth psychiatric care and therapy. TMS and Spravato require in-person visits because they're administered in our offices. We'll discuss all your options at your first consultation.
Yes. Most major insurance plans cover telehealth the same way they cover in-person visits. Call us to verify your specific coverage before your first appointment.
A device with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection, and a private space. Computer, tablet, or smartphone all work fine. We'll send instructions ahead of time.
Completely. HIPAA-compliant, encrypted, confidential. As private as sitting in our office. We never record without your explicit consent.
Absolutely. Many patients start with telehealth and move to in-person care — or alternate between both. We're flexible and will work with whatever changes.
